Does the paper tackle the definition of a suitable (i.e. arguable and/or important) term/concept?
Are you able to track the writer's train of thought through the varying definitions/re-definitions?
Is this train of thought coherent? Does it work to unpack/expand the possibilities or does it close down possibilities?
Does the paper address the stakes for who is involved in the argument over the definition?
Does the paper present the opposing viewpoint(s)?
What works well in the paper?
What does not work well in the paper?
Is the paper grammatically sound?
