Most Americans can say they've experienced being bullied. Bullying can happen in schools, within groups of friends, in the workplace, over the computer, or at home. Bullying can happen anywhere. Bullying is defined as abuse and intimidation from peers. Bullying can have serious or even extreme effects on the victim and the bully.

Having an education is very important nowadays especially when people are trying to get a job.  Many people are not even able to get a job if they do not have a high school diploma. Receiving an education does not have to only come from a school. An education can come from several different places. For example, people can obtain an education from their family members, church members, friends, jobs and etc. As said on the web site of Education, Human Development Network, the definition of education is universally recognized as a fundamental building block for human development and one of the strongest instruments for reducing poverty. With that being said, education can impact the whole entire nation

Man and Animal have been confidants since the beginning of time. With Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden with all the animals, Lasey and his owner, and many more. Animals are loving creature who are generally loyal to their owners. Families with animals think of their animals as family not just a pet, when they are lost the hurt is just a hard as if they lost a family member. If dog are a man’s best friend, why aren’t men caring for their “best friends”? Animals have feelings and souls just like humans and should be treated as so. This is why I am doing my paper on Animal Cruelty. I am a animal lover and I can not stand to see any animal treated bad or unkind. Animal Cruelty is a act of violence or neglect perpetrated against animals.(difinitionuslegal.com) The definition is pretty straight forward but it could be clarified more because people all see words differently. For that reason I am going to take a deeper look into the word violence.

The death penalty is something we all know about but, something we never really discuss. Most people feel that the death penalty is wrong, and that we should make people suffer in jail rather then just taking their life right from them after they have murdered someone. What some people dont know is that having the death penalty can prevent more murders from happening, can save us money, and it gives murderers what they deserve.

Have you ever been pushed around, made fun of, or even felt uncomfortable in a situation because of someone’s actions? These are all just small examples of what bullying is, we see so many people today being harassed and made fun of on a daily basis. There are all different types of bullying we see every day but one thing that they all share in common is that it’s hurtful and can greatly influence a person’s mind, and like in some cases lead one’s self to commit suicide. Today we see many campaigns to stop the act of bullying because in recent years it seems that this social problem has risen to quite an extent. Most people don’t pay attention as to how much bullying has grown, because some people don’t think that what they might be doing is considered being a bully to someone else.

“Nothing comes for free.” But what if one steals from another individual or business? How about a farmer harvesting crops and raising animals on his land to feed his family? Maybe a woman at a street stand is handing out free cell phones. Can one consider all of these situations as being “free”? The term “free” has various definitions, for example, someone can be “drug-free”, a movie theatre might be handing out “free” tickets, or a friend might even say “Want to hang out this evening? I’m free.” According to Merriam-Webster, free can be defined as, “not costing or charging anything.” However, society functions on trade to where the work put out is either physical or mental composition, which in return leads the worker to receive sufficient compensation, therefore, nothing comes for free. In reality, anything of material value has a cost, charge or catch whether it is from stealing from another source, feeding a family or receiving a free product through advertising in business.

In life, we sometimes find ourselves faced with times where we have to make drastic decisions. If we should go to class on time, if we should study for that test tomorrow, if we should we do someone's homework for monetary gain, all these are examples where someones morals come into play. Morality is defined, by the oxford dictionary, as "A particular system of values and principles of conduct especially one held by specified person or society". Morals play a huge role in society, because without them a lot of things would fall out of place. When faced with decisions that put someone in the position to use their morals, they have they chance to do either whats right or wrong and usually they do whats right, but what happens if someone doesn't have any morals they live by? If they just live life with out any type of concerns or regrets?

Gay marriage has become a huge controversial issue. The issue being some feels as if marriage should only be for man and woman and not same sexes. One of the main reasons people throw into play why gays shouldn’t marry is because of some religious views. The bible always seems to come into play when discussing marriage. It’s such a big issue that only six states in the United States have legalized gay marriages (Vestal, Para. 1).  There are 50 states and out of all them only a small amount accepts gays as being married. Everyone is supposed to have equal rights but not allowing them to marry is not equality. People act as though gays are so much different than heterosexual, when they aren’t. Homosexuals are only different from heterosexuals in which they like the same sex. In this paper I will define marriage in the dictionary, social, and religion use, and compare and contrast real marriage verse gay marriage, and discuss the criteria for marriage, in which I will determine real marriage isn’t really any different than gay marriage.

Aristotle once argued “friendship is a thing necessary to life, since without friends no one would choose to live, through possessed of all other advantages” (Briggle 71).  Although Aristotle’s argument is taken to the extreme, friendship plays an important role in many humans’ lives.  Friendship is a special relationship between two individuals.  This creates friends who are able support each other through the good and the bad times (Telfer 238).  Considering the significance of friendship, it is arguable that one can never have too many friends.  However, with the increase of social networking, the meaning of friends has diminished (Rosen 16).  Friendship is no longer about the quality, but the quantity.  People on social networking sites such as Facebook and Myspace, have hundreds of “friends,” yet are any of these actual friends? According to the Oxford dictionary, friend is defined as a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection.  Using this definition, people do have hundreds of friends just because they know and are fond of each other.  In order to eliminate this issue, the definition should be amended defining a friend as a person who one knows well and has established a mutual bond of trust, affection, reciprocity, and interests between them.  Through this redefinition, the significance of an actual friend is highlighted, and the problems with the current definition are eliminated.

An endangered species is a species at risk of extinction because of hum activity, changes

in climate, changes in predator-prey ratios, etc. These chosen certain species are chosen by the

government. Usually the government’s intentions are to get breeding programs and laws started

to prevent the further killing of any endangered species. It was not until 1973 when the

Endangered Species Act was put into effect. This helped protect endangered and also threatened

animals from the risk of extinction. Throughout this whole essay, my goal is to inform on what

an endangered species is along with examples from different regions.
